The Ultimate PBX Phone System

I have always been traditional when it comes to my office equipment. I like things that I know how to operate and know will work. When my company recently decided to switch their phone system to a host PBX system, I had some reservations. A whole lot of research later, we had the system installed and I am now a true believer in the PBX system by Vocalocity
I knew that a PBX system was somewhat similar to VoIP, but I didn’t really understand what it was. Simply put, our hosted PBX system is a new way to place and receive phone calls. It utilized the wiring we already had in place for our network meaning no messy rewiring jobs.
I found the system to have several major advantages for my company. The first, of course, was cost-savings. By paying a simple flat fee per user, regardless of actual usage, we were able to lower our communication costs significantly. I also appreciated the fact that we were able to port our original numbers over, making it unnecessary to go through the hassle of changing numbers on business cards and letterhead. The simple user interface allows us to mange and configures all of our services without a problem.
Our Vocalocity PBX system has many features that we have come to rely on from traditional phone services. Caller ID works the save – and even works with the call waiting feature. You always know who is calling before you pick up. Calls can be easily forwarded to any number – even mobile phones. Call transfers, conference call and call waiting are all standard features and a must for any business. A unique feature is the call log. It keeps a detailed history of calls received and placed by extension or users.
Perhaps the nicest feature is the voice mail system. Calls can be routed directly to your email inbox. By opening a simple .wav file, you have access to recent voice mails. This has made managing the staggering amount of communications we receive a breeze. Like a traditional voice mail system, we have complete control over our greetings and the security is first rate.
Any business owner can tell you how important an auto attendant cane is. Our hosted PBX service allows us to trigger a ‘night mode’ which is attached to a different greeting. We can easily inform customers of contact information or direct them to the appropriate extension even after hours. The system also includes a directory which allows callers to simply input the last name of the employee they would like to speak with. They are automatically directed to the correct extension.
Switching from our traditional phone system to the hosted PBX system has been seamless. The easy interface and the ability to use network wiring means it is simple to add new employees to our system. As we continue to grow and expand, the PBX system will play an integral role in ensuring our communications are always flawless. For someone who was afraid to make a change, Vocalocity has really come through.
